Privacy Policy

Mudabbir is a private, offline family organizer. It has no user accounts and no servers we control. The information you enter is stored only on your device. We do not collect it, transmit it, sell it, or share it. There are no ads, no analytics, and no third‑party tracking.

1. Information stored in the app

You may choose to enter the following, which is saved locally on your device in the app's private storage:

• Family member details: names, relationship, optional photo, notes.
• Shopping/needs, saved products, wishes, clothing and shoe sizes.
• Important dates (e.g., birthdays) and reminders.
• Saved places (labels, addresses, and map coordinates you choose).
• Documents you add (e.g., ID/passport/bill records) and any files or photos you attach.
• Menstrual‑cycle and pregnancy information you log.
• App settings (language, theme, role, PIN, preferences).

This data stays on the device. We have no access to it.

2. Information we do NOT collect

We do not collect personal information, contacts, advertising identifiers, usage analytics, or crash analytics. The app does not create a profile of you and does not require sign‑in.

3. Device permissions and why they're used

The app requests permissions only to provide features, and only when relevant:

• Camera / Photos — to add a photo to a member, product, wish, or document. Images are saved locally.
• Files / Storage — to attach or open document files you select.
• Location — only when you open the map to save or view a place. Your place data is stored locally and is not sent to us.
• Microphone — only if you use voice input to add an item; speech is processed by your device's built‑in recognizer.
• Notifications — to show local reminders for dates and cycle predictions, scheduled on the device.
• Biometrics — only if you enable biometric unlock for the app lock.

You can grant or deny each permission in your device settings; denying one only disables the related feature.

4. Limited network requests (no personal data)

The app works offline for your data. It makes a small number of network requests that do not include your personal or family information:

• Map tiles: when you open the map (Places feature), map images load from a third‑party map provider, which receives standard request data such as your IP address and the map area viewed.
• Fonts: the app may download display fonts from Google Fonts the first time they're needed; this is a standard web request and does not include your data.
• Opening links: if you tap a link (e.g., a product URL), it opens in your browser under that site's and your browser's policies.

5. No advertising or tracking

Mudabbir contains no advertising SDKs, no analytics SDKs, and no tracking technologies. We do not use advertising identifiers and do not track you across apps or websites.

6. Data security

Your data is kept in the app's private, sandboxed storage on your device. You can protect access with a PIN and optional biometric unlock. Optional field‑level encryption (AES‑256‑GCM with a key derived from your PIN) can protect sensitive data at rest. The app's data is also excluded from Android Auto Backup / device‑to‑device transfer and iOS iCloud backup, so it does not leave the device through a vendor cloud. No security measure is perfect; keeping your device locked and updated is recommended.

7. Data retention and deletion

Your data remains on your device until you delete it. You can delete individual items at any time, and uninstalling the app removes all of its locally stored data from the device. Because we never receive your data, there is nothing for us to delete on our side.

8. Children's privacy

Mudabbir is intended for general/family use and is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect information from children; all information stays on the user's device.

9. International users

The app stores data locally wherever your device is, and does not transfer your personal data internationally to us (we don't receive it). Where laws such as the GDPR grant you rights over personal data, those rights are satisfied by your direct, on‑device control: you can access, edit, and delete your data within the app, and remove it entirely by uninstalling.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves (for example, if an optional feature that uses the network is added in a future version, this policy will be updated to describe it before that feature ships). The “Last updated” date will change accordingly.
